Agricultural Business Research Institute

The Agricultural Business Research Institute (ABRI) is a company based at the University of New England which specialises in the provision of a wide range of agribusiness information services globally. This includes products and services such as BREEDPLAN, ILR2 Livestock Registry System, HerdMaster and ACGEA Beef Breeding cattle certification for export.

The mission of the company is: “to develop and implement world-class agribusiness information systems with special emphasis on the needs of livestock industries”.
ABRI is a world leader in providing comprehensive breed registration services with over 700,000 registrations processed on ABRI’s software across 120 breed associations in 2014.

ABRI has commercialised a world class genetic evaluation system called BREEDPLAN which is currently used in sixteen countries.
