Kati Schöpke is assistant professor in the group of animal breeding within the Institute of Agricultural and Nutritional Sciences at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. Her main research interests are in the area of quantitative genetics and animal breeding. She received a Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from the University in Halle.
Her current research activities focus on genetic and genomic analysis of production, reproduction, and health traits in dairy cattle and on the development of novel tools and methodologies to enhance the genetic potential of dairy cattle and riding horses.
